Many People Are Questioning Whether Or Not Conor McGregor's "Retirement" Had Anything To Do With The Launch Of My Podcast
Listen – I’m not saying it. I’m not. Many people are asking me, though, and I owe it to those people to address the elephant in the room.
No, Conor McGregor has not retired from the sport formally known as “Mixed Martial Art” to become my co-host on My Mom’s Basement.
Again, there’s not a bone in my body that believes he’s actually retired in the first place, but this certainly wasn’t done to be on a pod with me. It’ll probably happen one day, but that day is not today.
Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe seem to side with myself on the issue, believing that we’re all simply pawns in the ongoing negotiations of Conor McGregor’s next fight…
Others seem to think Conor heard my interview with Dana, was offended at the lack of respect shown by Dana in claiming he was no longer worthy of a main event spot due to his lack of holding a UFC Championship, and was so enraged he retired on the spot. I cannot confirm nor deny that train of thought, but I do urge you to listen for yourself…
