There you have it folks! Big Brain James hasn’t even been on the show for 10 days he has already surpassed every player in career winnings outside of Ken Jennings, is getting ready to pass Jeopardy legends like Arthur Chu (11 wins) and Austin (12 wins) in wins, and has shown absolutely no sign of stopping. All of the people I just mentioned became household names because they were smart. But none of them gamble like James, who throws around money like Portnoy, albeit with much different degrees of success, because he is an actual gambler. I mean look at these fucking career numbers.

300 correct answers vs. 13 incorrect
With $566,660, James moves into the #6 spot all-time in total earnings (including tournaments.)
$40,000 is the most amount of money ever bet in Final Jeopardy.

Passing tournament winners in earnings after 9 games is NUTS. I honestly don’t know where we go from here. James shattered the old record of $77,000 by becoming the first guy to hit $100,000+, broke the old record again a few days later, and did it again last night with a $106,181 performance. He bet more than half of the old record in Final Jeopardy alone. Like I said the other day, he is truly rewriting the scoring record books just like Wilt Chamberlain did back in the day.

I know this is probably a hot take, but you can make a case that the most dominant person on TV right now isn’t Mike Trout or Giannis. It’s James and the giant brain that also has a subtle sense of humor.

I would say there may be a backlash coming because that’s how things always work when someone keeps winning over and over. I remember when the Patriots were the plucky upstart team led by a 6th round pick that America rooted for. Then they spent two decades ripping the NFL to shreds and became hated by seemingly 90% of NFL fans. Soon people will complain about James ruining Jeopardy for them because they know who wins before we even get the legendary “THIS IS JEOPARDY” call. He was already dusting people before he became James The Conqueror. I mean this look says it all.

You know what that is? INTIMIDATION.

Then again, there’s a chance that with the playoffs going on, Thrones popping off, Avengers coming out, and everything else, James’ run won’t be hated on since Jeopardy will just be an appetizer for the night. And how can you hate a guy that even has Alex swooning.

I also hate to say this because I dread the day it happens, but if Alex Trebek decides to retire, we need a showdown between Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer. Throw that robot bitch Watson in as well. And if I were a gambling man, I would bet on James because that’s exactly what he is.
