Of Course An NFL Team Wanted Super Athlete Daniel Jones To Work Out At Tight End For Them During The Combine

So I’ve seen this story being tweeted around with the typical GettLOLman and Giants slander we have seen since at least the Daniel Jones draft pick if not the Saquon Barkley draft pick because nobody loves a pig pile like the internet. But you have to excuse me if I fail to see the punchline that the Giants drafted someone that was so athletic, a team wanted to see what he would look like as a tight end, more than likely by a team that is already starting a Hall of Fame quarterback (this is my own personal fan theory). Lamar Jackson was asked to work out at receiver during last year’s combine and everyone was cumming themselves about his tools after the Ravens drafted him and even more so as he led Baltimore to the playoffs. So why am I supposed to get upset that my team’s quarterback of the future happens to have the brains, brawn, and speed to potentially play a physically demanding position like tight end? I mean look at these wheels:

Mothafucka Jones is pretty much just Gronk with boat shoes if Gronk could also play quarterback, get drafted in the Top 10, and stay healthy in college. I know some people will try to say that the reason that team wanted Jones to play tight end is because they didn’t think he could succeed as an NFL quarterback. But these highlights clearly say something else.

Yes I realize many of those passes are basic passes to running backs. But everyone criticizing that understands that if Jones can complete those passes to the Saquon, there is always like a 20% chance he takes it to the house, right? As long as DJ can complete the passes to the running back and the slippery slot receivers that can break tackles, he should be jussssst fine because he already has the “It” leadership factor that every great QB has.
