It's Time To Turn The Page On Game 3
Its so goddamn frustrating. I used to laugh at those videos like the old Vikings fan going nuts and his wife consoling him or the videos of people smashing their TV’s and just think it was all a big joke. When it happens to you its a breed of anger that is tough to deal with. As childish and dumb as it seems, I sat in the same exact spot for 2 hours straight following that goal in denial. Just mad at the world and stunned the Blues lost that game. Its a weird spot to be in as a fan. What can you do? For instance, I’m not on the team so I can’t really do anything to Erik Karlsson after he tries to say some sort of weird arrogant chirp about handball.
As dumb as it seems for fans to care so much, I couldn’t stop thinking about Jaden Schwartz’s empty net shot that hit the post. GODDAMNIT IF THAT GOES 1 INCH TO THE RIGHT NONE OF THIS HAPPENS! It makes me sick! The amount of fun shit that comes with the Blues being deep in the playoffs would have been given a huge boost if that pucks bounces in. If Pietrangelo’s icing’s take a weird bounce to the side or backwards and waste 20-30 seconds of regrouping and puck chasing, maybe Couture doesn’t bang home that rebound. It makes me sick!!!
At some point it doesn’t matter anymore, and I think that point is right now. None of us, whether it be fans, players, coaches, media people, or even the lame ass NHL bigwigs are going to change what happened last night. The series is 2-1 and Game 4 is in St. Louis tomorrow night and its going to happen whether we care about the missed call on that hand pass or not. Everyone on the team or rooting for the team have to channel our energy into the Blues getting a win tomorrow night at Enterprise Center. We have to turn the page and make them pay.
The only true revenge on everybody would be a Blues series win.
