Grading the Newest Sex Scandal Teacher
Pennsylvania – Chester County authorities have arrested a school resource officer and charged her with corruption of minors.
Stefanie Dunne, 44, of Thornton, was a Downingtown Borough police officer who served as a school resource officer at Downingtown West High School, according to the Chester County District Attorney’s Office. She is married.
The male victim was a former student at the high school.
The district attorney’s office gave the following account:
On May 4 of this year, police with the Upper Uwchlan department found the defendant semi-clothed, with a 17-year-old male, in the back of a vehicle parked in a secluded area. An investigation revealed an ongoing physical relationship between Dunne and the juvenile that began when he was in ninth grade.
A forensic search of the victim’s cellphone revealed several photographs of Dunne and more than 6,000 text messages between Dunne and the victim since May 2018. Many of the messages contain “intimate references and sexual innuendo,” authorities said.
How does the math work? When something happens twice it’s a coincidence but the third time it’s a trend, or something like that? This is the second Teacher Sex Scandal we’ve had involving a School Resources Officer in the span of a couple of months. The first being Interlaken, NY officer Elisia Panipinto:
Who, I can confirm, did in fact “use her authority as a police officer to have time with the child in the school and develop a ‘physical, romantic relationship'” as the police charged. I know this because the SSToolie from her hometown who knows her and sent me this article also sent me the Snapchat file of her with going down on somebody. A file I deleted and threw all my electronic devices with email on them off the Bourne bridge and bought all new ones.
Anyhoo … So now that Stefanie Dunne is getting in on that, I guess we’re one Sex Scandal School Resource Officer away from this being a trend. A full blown cultural phenomenon. I’m kind of hoping it doesn’t happen, just because there are barely enough hours in the day to keep up with just the garden variety SSTs. But I suppose there’s only so much these law enforcement ladies can take of patrolling the halls looking for contraband and keeping everyone safe from intruders before they get jealous of their professional educator co-workers and start getting in on that action. So my guess is this is going to be a thing.
The Grades:
Looks: The uniform does a lot for her. But I can’t get out of my head that the mugshot makes her look like Zordon from “Power Rangers.”
Grade: D+
Moral Compass/Bad Judgment: 6,000 texts. Photos. Intimate references and sexual innuendo. All starting in 9th grade, lasting through graduation and culminating in getting caught in the act in the back seat of a car. That is some top notch police work by Downington’s finest. But it makes you wonder if the victim will cooperate. It’s hard to offer him incentives like the ones he already got while being interrogated by Mrs. Officer Dunne.
