Hope you're starting to feel better, Coach Meyer. Anyways, it's a new Day in Columbus this morning, as the Buckeyes open up training camp for the 2019 (and 2020 since we'll be playing AFTER New Years) season. I'm not going to sit here and break down every matchup of the year, because if I did that now, what would you guys have to read on Saturday mornings? But rest assured, I do have the Buckeyes going 12-0 this year. However, just a couple weeks ago, that may have not been the case…

I'll be the first to admit that I was pretty nervous heading into this season. Are we talented? Unbelievably. But we are breaking in a new coach, and more importantly to me, a new quarterback. I think this entire season hinges upon Justin Fields ability to lead this team down the field. Because guess what? If he can't, we don't have anybody else who can. Tate Martell and Matthew Baldwin both skipped town when Fields decided to transfer, and now ALL of our eggs are in his basket. And he really didn't impress me very much in the Spring Game. So what has changed? What has happened in the past couple weeks to get me to go from nervous to confident? Well, the World started chirping at Ohio again.

Wait am I reading that correctly? Forget the outrageous notion that Michigan has a 6x better chance of winning the conference than Ohio State, you're telling me the Buckeyes and MINNESOTA have the same chance of winning the Big Ten?? And it's not just ESPN that's being disrespectful, it's the Big Ten Media too:

Outrageous. Michigan has not won the Big Ten since 2004, so what have they done to prove they should get the nod this year? I mean, they lost 6 of 11 starters from their #1 defense that we hung 62 on. Do we put up triple digits in Ann Arbor this year? But don't ask Jalen Rose that. Him and all those other stupid Michigan men in the media are back to their August tradition of saying THIS is finally the year.

Michigan fans (if there are any left) have to be pissed, right?? Their best bet is that the Buckeyes get overconfident from winning year after year after year after year after year after year after year and stop taking The Game so seriously. Fat pigs get slaughtered. But the 2x defending Big Ten Champions, who are 54-4 in the last 7 years in the conference including beating Michigan 14 of the last 15 times, now have bulletin board material!!!

I was nervous that Ryan Day and Justin Fields may come in and assume that just putting on the scarlet and grey might mean they're going to perform like the Buckeyes of the past, but now they have a chip on their shoulder.

Practice hard out there today, boys. Justin: STAY HEALTHY.
