Could The Yankees Be A Classic Underdog Story?

I never thought I could have this argument in my life, or at least hoped I would never have to, but this team is sticking around no matter how bad the cards they are dealt come out. Do they have the biggest payroll? Yea, but not on the field. Our payroll is bandaged up getting treatment everyday while we find a way to keep winning when we need to. I know if we won the 2 games we blew against Boston we would be tied for a playoff spot, and those are games we should have won, but at the end of the day we are still up in this bitch with a favorable schedule coming up.

Think about this, most of the season we went without Derek Jeter, ARod, Tex, Youk and Granderson. Now Jeter is out for the year, we don’t know what the fuck happened to Gardner and who knows about Youk. We should not even be anywhere close to the playoffs right now, and for a bit it didn’t look like we would. But when the going gets tough we fucking win games that must be won. The Yankees‘ run differential is 0, while rest of wild card contenders are +33 or better, think about that for a second. That is the grit and determination that would get us a T shirt made if we added in shaved heads or beards or some other dumb shit, but instead we get by and look good doing it.

Other Yankee News

ARod: The hamstring tightened up but I think he would play through anything with an extended off season coming up. I think he gets no more than 50 games.

Joba and Hughes: Just get aids already. These 2 are so bad that they shouldn’t be allowed near a meaningful slow pitch softball game let alone this playoff hunt.

Giradi: As much as I hate some of the pitching moves he has made, this guy is making an amazing thanksgiving dinner with the ingredients to make a shit sandwich.
