Leave it to OJ to Put the Antonio Brown Situation Into Perspective
We live in rapidly changing times. A moment of great social upheaval. And like any era of great change, there is also great confusion. Our culture is try to recognize the sins of the past while still needing to protect the fundamental rights of the individual. It’s a delicate balancing act, but an important one.
So who better to lead us that the wise sage of American life, OJ Simpson. Here we’ve got Antonio Brown being accused of something horrible. But he’s not criminally charged. And he denies it. The truth is that either a woman has been victimized or an innocent man is being smeared or somewhere in between. No one knows.
But as we stand at this great moral and legal crossroads, it’s The Juice who manages to put it all in perspective. To boil the issue down to it’s essential element: How does this affect OJ’s Fantasy team? Sitting around waiting for the judicial process to play itself out is for cowards. Fortune favors those bold enough to decide now if Brown is worth the risk in your PPR league.
No one wants to hear about anyone else’s Fantasy team. But at someone who also has Brown (along with Tyreek Hill and Kareem Hunt; I’m not sure my buddy who drafted for us is all that concerned about “character” issues) this is the question we all needed asked on this complex, hot button topic. Fortunately we’ve got OJ to get out in front of this with some bold, decisive, not-at-all tone deaf leadership. Thanks, Nordberg.
