Mike Leach had an interesting press conference yesterday. He discussed the California image/likeness bill:

And then, more importantly, broke down a battle between the Pac-12 mascots:

Peak Mike Leach. Let’s break it down.

Arizona State Sun Devil: “What kind of mythical powers does a Sun Devil have?” Great point. Can he control the sun? Or is he just a Devil that loves the sun? Mike went on to say “you’d have to get one of those Harry Potter activists to read up on how you kill a Sun Devil.”

Arizona Wildcat: “I’m going to say the wildcat is out.” Fair assesment. I’d give him a shot though. Wildcat’s have claws, are fast, and have a mean streak in them.

USC Trojan: “Does he have a horse or is he on foot? Does he have a bow and arrow or just a sword?” If the Tronjan is on a horse and has a bow and arrow I’d say he has a shot. However, still bottom half of the conference in this situation.

UCLA Bruin: “The bruin is definitely formidable.”

Stanford Tree: “The tree is going to be chopped down. Unless we are going to go with a bird and somebody is going to get picked or something.”

Oregon Ducks: “The duck may just lose interest and fly out of there.” I’m basing this on survival, so the Duck may actually have a shot.

Washington Huskies: “The Husky, no chance.”

Oregon State Beaver: “The beaver? We’ll see how long the beaver can hold his breath.”

Utah Utes: “The Ute? Now we are back to does he have a horse? A bow and arrow? Can he trade in for a riffle?”

Colorado Buffaloes: “A buffalo is going to be pretty hard to tangle with.”

    Final rankings:

    1. Sun Devil

    2. Buffalo

    3. Trojan

    4. Bruin

    5. Ute

    6. Wildcat

    7. Cougar
