The sky is a little bluer this morning, the songs the birds sing have never sounded more lovely, and the New York Football Giants appear to have a goddamn quarterback. I’m not sure if all those things are related or not, but I had to kick off the new week with Elton John’s smoothest heater in honor of our little lamb Daniel balling out in Tampa.
I don’t care if the lyrics make sense about a football player winning his first game. That sweet, sweet melody is exactly what my soul feels like right now as I mainline every single highlight, article, and quote from yesterday’s game directly into my veins.
