Taking The Redskins Head Coaching Job Is Career Suicide And You'd Have To Be Insane To Take It
I just cannot imagine taking the Redskins head coaching job. It's as close to career suicide as it gets. If you're an up and coming coordinator, taking the Redskins job is not a resume builder for you. It's setting yourself up for failure and I have no idea why anyone would take the job. Like say you're Kellen Moore in Dallas. The hot new kid on the block. Will be getting head coaching sniffs in the offseason. If the Redskins come calling, you shouldn't even pick up the phone. He has a pretty good gig where he's at, why would he ruin a good thing and coach the Skins just so he can go 4-12 and be back as an OC after 3 demoralizing years in Landover? Just wait for a better opening, it'll for sure come. Head coaching jobs open up in the NFL a baker's dozen at a time, there's really no need to rush into taking the Skins job.
So who do the Skins want? Buddy, buckle up.
Fucking obviously. Tomlin who is one of, if not the worst, in-game coach in the NFL, or Bowles who I won't even get started on. Todd Bowles is such an obvious choice it's laughable. Former Skin who Snyder can parade around and who won't start any problems. Bowles will coach us to 6-10, maybe even 7-9, year in and year out. Bieniemy won't come over from KC, he's not an idiot.
Basically, there are 2 types of coaches- those who will coach the Redskins only if they are given full control, and those who Snyder will actually hire. Meaning no coach with any self-respect will take the Skins job because they know Snyder will undermine their every move, and the actual good coaches won't waste their time.

Imagine a Redskins coaching staff with Tomsula and the Ryan brothers? At least they'd be fun for a little bit while going 0-16.
But as I always say, it doesn't matter who the coach is. As long as Snyder owns the team and Bruce Allen is in control, nothing will change. We're doomed forever. Buy a shirt.
