TBT: The Blue Mountain State Intro Was A First Ballot Hall of Fame TV Show Intro

So just for a little context here–the Flyers wrapped up a 3-game road trip in western Canada last night. For some reason, the in-arena DJs over there seem to have an obsession with playing “Hell Yeah” by Rev Theory. I’m not complaining in the slightest, I’m just stating a fact. It seems like the Vancouver Canucks play it every time they go on a powerplay, and then the Edmonton Oilers throw it on sporadically throughout the game.

Now the song on its own is objectively one of the most bad ass songs ever. But when you add it to the intro of Blue Mountain State? Buddy,,,,,it doesn’t get much more legendary than that.

This intro had everything that you could ever ask for. A bad ass song. Football. Beer. Boobs. Even some of the hottest butt crack these eyes have ever seen.

It’s just an all-timer. And I don’t know exactly what it is but something about that double-snap always gets me going too. Something about it is just oddly satisfying. Speaking of oddly satisfying, let he who has never once hoped for a little nip slip in this intro be the one to cast the first stone.

We all hoped and dreamed for it. One of these days, I just know it’s gonna happen.

Also–I’m going to make the executive decision here and put the season 2 intro at the top spot of the Blue Mountain State Intro Power Rankings. Season 1 gets some extra points for being the original but Mary Jo puts this over the top.

Frankie Shaw is criminally underrated.
