I Hate To Say It, But The Browns Need To Fire Freddie Kitchens Immediately
I've officially seen enough of Freddie Kitchens. I know that the Browns have had 11 head coaches since they returned in 1999, but it's time to find number 12. I don't care that it's a bad look. I don't care that it's a revolving door. I don't care that no one will want to come here if we don't show some patience with our coaches. The fact of the matter is that Freddie Kitchens is a terrible head coach.
Hand up, I was wrong when I wanted him. I wanted him because I believed in Baker, and that's who Baker wanted. But as we're all starting to see, maybe putting all of our eggs into Baker's basket wasn't the best of ideas. Is it time to Tank for Tua? Time to Race for Chase Young? No, I don't think so. But it's definitely time to get rid of Freddie Kitchens.

Where do I start with this guy? I used to like how he was chubby and wears a hoodie and has a southern accent. Now I just want a coach with a working brain. So where to begin? How about the thing he's most known for: penalties. Here's a little light reading for those on you sitting on the toilet right now...
Yes, that's right folks. We've played one less game than many of the teams in the NFL, but we still have the most total penalties. In fact, we're the only team in top 10 of penalties that has had their bye week. What a stat! What a reflection on our head coach!
Freddie, like always, says "We don't practice penalties". Uhh Freddie, what the heck do you practice then? Because literally the only thing this team consistently does anymore is let down the fanbase and commit penalties. Oh, and lose challenges. Actually, I wouldn't even say we lose challenges. That's an understatement. More specifically, we just decide to challenge the absolute dumbest stuff that has a 0.0% chance of getting overturned. Take yesterday for example. Not only did we challenge the spot of a Patriots first down that was clear as day, we then turned around and tried to be the first team in the last 23 tries to overturn a pass interference. A clear pass interference!
Freddie Kitchens is NOT the worst coach the Browns has ever had. That would be Hue Jackson. But Freddie Kitchens does have his place in the all-time lore of the organization. And the entire league, really. Freddie Kitchens is single-handedly the worst replay challenger in the history of the NFL. I'm not even going to look up the stat. I'm just using my eyes. This dude needs to get glasses. And like I said earlier, he needs to get a brain. A working brain. The intentional false start on 4th and 11 to bring back out the offense to go for it on 4th and 16 was an all-time mind boggling decision. And he stood by it!
And now the haters are out in full force today….
He's right. Hire Rex Ryan? I don't care….let's just find someone who can get a little more out of this roster. We're talented enough to win right now. We're 2-5. The rest of our schedule is the 2nd easiest in the league, and this season can be salvaged. But not with this bum calling the shots.
