Marvin Harrison Jr (Son of Marvin Harrison Sr) Has Committed To Play At Wide Reciever U
Boooooom!!! The rich just got richer, baby. For those of you keeping track at home, that's now the 2nd straight top receiver in the state of Pennsylvania to commit to the Buckeyes, following the #1 overall 2020 player in the country, Julian Fleming, who is already going to Ohio State next Fall. I'm sure James Franklin isn't too concerned about this trend though, even though I'm sure he's getting tired of looking up at us in every single type of rankings available...
Gotta close down the borders to be ELITE, James! That's recruiting 101!!
But honestly, I get why it's hard to keep players from coming to Ohio right now. The Buckeyes are absolutely ROLLING. Not just our 8-0 football team, but also the handfuls upon handfuls of players that are now starring in the NFL on Sundays. Michael Thomas and Terry McLaurin are proving that we're Wide Reciever U each week, but then again, Joey and Nick Bosa have made it painfully clear to everyone that we're also Defensive End U. And having 4 defensive backs picked in the 1st round of the last 6 makes a pretty strong argument for DBU as well.
But okay, I'm officially rambling. This blog shouldn't be about how Ohio State has a stranglehold on the conference for the next couple decades because Ryan Day has proven to be just as good of a recruiter and an even better coach than Urban Meyer, it should be about congratulating young Marvin Jr. on his decision to further his education at the greatest institution in the world. Hopefully he turns out to be half the receiver his old man was!
