Wake Up With Stevie Wilkerson Making The Catch Of The Decade
I say this with not one ounce of bias in my body. This is the best catch my eyes have ever seen. Yes, it was by the Orioles utility guy, Stevie Wilkerson, but the fact that he’s an Oriole has 0 reasoning behind me saying its the best. I’m saying it’s the best because it’s the best. Wilkerson isn’t even an outfielder and played this ball better than I’ve ever seen. Just think of how difficult it is to track a ball back there, the curving wall, the weird angles, and the fact that HE ISN’T AN OUTFIELDER. He finds the wall, almost jumps INTO the bullpen, rolls along the top of the wall, into the crowd and basically into a little fan’s lap. Not a chance Mookie Betts makes that play, I’m surprised Stevie didn’t win the Gold Glove based on this play alone. An insanely remarkable catch, and easily one of the best we will ever see.
