The Caps Blasted "Calma" In The Locker Room After Last Nights Win And Hereeeee Weeee Gooooooooooo #CapsYear
This is a huge deal. A huuuuuge deal. Why? Because “Calma” was the Nats victory song, founded by Brian Dozier after singing it on the plane one day. It caught on, and became the Nats anthem, right there with Baby Shark.
And now the Caps, fresh off of partying with the Nats, have adopted it? Oh boy. I mean Calma fucking goessssss. And the imagery of Ovi singing it is hysterical. I need video of Ovi getting down to Calma like I need air in my lungs.
The bromance between the two teams is too sweet. It’s beautiful. And there is no reason right now to think the Caps can’t go back to the Cup. I mean this team in just ridiculous. John Carlson is having a career year, and Ovi hasn’t slowed down, not even a little.
Not to mention Stanley Cup Champion Tom Wilson is a goal scoring machine. He potted two more last night, giving him 7 points in his last 3 games, giving him 14 on the season (and only 16 PIMS, with 0 fighting majors!). He is an offensive WEAPON at this point, if last year didn’t convince you of it already.
The whole team, top to bottom, is clicking. The 27 standings points leads the NHL, the 4.0 goals/game leads the NHL, along with the 3rd best PP and 8th best PK. And Holtby hasn’t even settled in quite yet.
Is it Our Year again? It’s definitely not out of the question.
