ESPN- Even before a startling news conference in the wake of a blowout loss to Cleveland on Sunday, New York Knicks president Steve Mills had started to lay the internal groundwork for the eventual dismissal of coach David Fizdale, league sources told ESPN. Mills is selling owner James Dolan on a roster constructed to be highly competitive in the Eastern Conference, leaving Fizdale vulnerable to an ouster only weeks into the second season of a four-year contract that league sources say is worth $22 million.

"Everyone is moving to their positions now," a league source close to management and the coaching staff told ESPN. "This is how they'll make (Fizdale) the fall guy."

Please mark your boards for the most obvious BINGO ball yet as the Knicks are in their second year with a coach, which is pretty much like reaching your 27th birthday as a rock star. The alternative headline to that article could have been Knicks President that went 117-211 as GM before somehow getting promoted to Team President is looking to fire the head coach he hired after less than 100 games. Because while I haven't loved what David Fizdale has done during his short time in New York, there is no denying the Knicks haven't been exactly flush with talent the last two seasons and have a very weird roster this year after the front office missed out on the Tier 1 and Tier 2 free agents. There is also no denying the pox Steve Mills has plagued on the Knicks franchise during his time employed by Madison Square Garden that I literally mentioned in my last blog about that stupid ass press conference.

Note: Mills was the Knicks GM from the 2013-14 season until the 2016-17 season before being promoted to Team President in 2017-18 after going 117-211 as GM

If you don’t think Mills is the 2nd biggest problem with the Knicks behind only his good pal James Dolan, you are LOST (I wouldn't even discount Isiah somehow being involved since Mills brought in Isiah who still works for the Liberty). However, please don't discount Dolan being a butcher of Knicks coaches. I mean look at the amount of coaches that have come and gone since James Dolan took over the Knicks.

If you make it more than 2 full seasons as the Knicks head coach under that fuckhead, it means you either made the Finals, had a competent adult named Donnie Walsh running the team, or guided the most fun Knicks season I can remember this century with guys like Jason Kidd, Rasheed Wallace, and Steve Novak on the team.

Anyway, we have a game to finish. NEXT BALL!

Lets avoid the confusion by just going straight to the source, Frank Isola.

The Athletic- According to several people familiar with the Knicks thinking, Dolan is plotting to take another run at Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri. It would take Phil Jackson-type money to lure Ujiri to New York but spending the big bucks is never an issue for Dolan. The issue is always hiring the right person, but in Ujiri, unlike Jackson, Mills and Perry, the Knicks would be bringing in an executive who has built a championship team. Ujiri is under contract through the 2021 season and the Raptors ownership group will do anything and everything to keep him. However, Ujiri is an ambitious guy with powerful friends in high places, and we’re not just talking about Barack Obama. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is a close friend who remains forever frustrated with the train wreck in his own backyard that is the Knicks.

Ahhhh there we go. Nothing says Knicks like being rumored for a GM you would have to pay as shitload of assets for instead of hiring actual basketball minds that aren't either Dolan Yes Men or comically underqualified. Don't get me wrong, I would love Masai as Knicks GM/President/Overlord for a billion reasons. But as long as James Dolan is the owner of the team, I think Masai will be smart enough to say No to the job.

NEXT BALL!

Ujiri’s possible arrival in New York could potentially put the Knicks in play for Giannis Antetokounmpo as well. Ujiri is well connected to some of today’s top stars. Mills claimed to be but couldn’t even get a sit down with Irving and/or Durant. That’s another plan he sold to Dolan that fell flat.

So here we are a little more than 2 weeks into the season and we already have our first Knicks BINGO involving mostly political nonsense before any of the super embarrassing shit that only happens to the Knicks either on the court or off of it. Great times. I'm not even going to bother dreaming of Masai running the Knicks or look up a Photoshop of Giannis wearing a Knicks jersey until James Dolan sells the team because the Knicks coming up short for any true franchise-altering leader is more Knicks than any of those BINGO balls that were just pulled.

Now play us off Kazoo Jimmy, you rat fuck ringleader clownshoe!

Fuck this franchise.
