21 Year Old American Sofia Kenin Is In The Aussie Open Finals, But All That Matters Is That Andy Roddick Quote Tweeted Her Congratulations

Last night 21 year old American Sofia Kenin upset the number one ranked woman in the world Ash Barty in the semifinals of the Aussie Open. Pretty remarkable considering she came in as a pretty big underdog and had to battle the home country Aussie crowd of Barty's the whole match. In the big moments she was nails and that got her a place in the finals tomorrow night against Spain's Garbine Muguruza.

Anytime you've got an American at the top of the tennis world, or any sports world for that matter, it's a big deal. It's refreshing to see someone other than Serena Williams trying to bring a title home to the U.S.

Just moments after securing the life-changing win last night, Andy Roddick quote tweeted her saying she's "become the goods." Imagine the person you looked up to as you played the sport as a kid eventually tweeting at you and acknowledging how good you are? I mean there's got to be nothing better.

So overall thoughts on heading to the Aussie Open finals? This is the biggest accomplishment of your life what are you thinking about? Just freaking out that Andy Roddick quote tweeted her and shouted her out. Pure shock and disbelief that it happened. Taking down the world number 1 in her home country? Who cares about that. Andy Roddick acknowledged her and that's what's important right now. I can just picture old tennis geezers seeing this and snapping in rage.

She's an easy person to root for and I hope she's able to bring the title home tomorrow night.

Go Sofia Go!
