I was having a casual relaxing Sunday and now I am ready to run through a brick fucking wall. WIN HERE GOD DAMN IT. I hate the tear down narrative. FUCK that. Toews, Kane, and Keith are still good enough to be the best players on the best team. It's not their fault that dumb dumb fired the best coach in the league, traded a top 10 winger in the league, and hasn't been able to surround the statue worthy players he was gifted with a competent supporting cast 5 fucking years. Aren't we the Chicago Blackhawks? Aren't we supposed to win? You're god damn right, Duncs. He is a loyal guy. Specifically loyal to the Wirtz Family. Guess what...that's how I am too. I love the Wirtz family and what this generation has done for hockey in this city. I am loyal to them and the sweater. Not to the management. There's a line between them and I feel like Duncan Keith drew it, whether it was an intentional omission or not. Trading Duncan Keith or any of the core pieces remaining on the active roster does NOT get the Hawks closer to a championship.
