RIP Nuts Magazine. We Will Never Forget You.
DigitalSpy – Nuts magazine has released the cover for its final issue. Publisher IPC Media announced last month that the lads’ mag will close down, 10 years after its debut. It launched back on January 22, 2004 as the UK’s first mainstream weekly men’s magazine with Nell McAndrew as its cover star. The final issue – the 526th edition – features a tearful Lucy Pinder in black-and-white, as seen below: Jo Smalley, publishing director of Nuts, said: “Across all of its various platforms, Nuts was enjoyed by millions of young British men every week during the past 10 years. “I’d like to thank the Nuts team for all of their hard work and commitment – it was both a pleasure and a privilege to work with so many talented people on what was a publishing phenomenon by any definition.” Following its launch, Nuts was joined on the market by rival Zoo magazine a week later on January 29, 2004. Nuts TV was launched on Freeview in September 2007, and on satellite in January 2008. The channel closed down the following January, moving its video content online. Last year, Nuts magazine launched a campaign in which it refused to use modesty bags to cover up its front pages at retailers. The final issue is out now.
The saddest news of the year. Nuts has given us the big titted British birds we have all grown to love. Lucy Pinder, Rosie Jones, Sophie Reade, my one time Internet girlfriend Jess Davies, and so, so, so many more. We’ll MFK 3 of them later in honor of the magazine, but I would be remiss if I didn’t leave you a gallery of the cover girl for the final issue, Lucy Pinder:

May we never forget.
