Hearing John Calipari Explain What Kentucky Did After They Found Out The Season Was Over Has Me Way Too Emotional This Afternoon

Goddamnit. That's it. I finally had enough of the coronavirus and it's officially ruining my life. Am I 100% selfish? Absolutely. But my life being turned upside down without sports and the NCAA Tournament was step 1. Hearing my team break down and cry because they would have won the national title was the final step. I'm officially ready to end this coronavirus any way possible.

But these guys playing one last game of pickup before sitting down and crying? Nope. That did It for me. This team was so damn fun to cheer for even with how frustrating they could be as players sometimes. That said, you had two of arguably the biggest improvements under Cal in Immanuel Quickley and Nick Richards. You had a freshman who wasn't scared of the big shot and wanted the ball in Tyrese Maxey. I'm going to remember this team fondly.

We're starting to hear stories of how teams found out the NCAA Tournament was done and the season was just over. I can't imagine being in that conversation. But this is about me and how I feel about my team. I feel lost. I should be ready to watch a No. 2/3 seed Kentucky be a favorite to win a title. I should be getting in arguments with people about Calipari. I miss you, Kentucky. I miss you, college basketball.
