Bruins Mailbag - Life Without Hockey, When Will Jeremy Jacobs Support TD Garden Employees?, Swayman + Wolff Sign With B's

We're on day 8 without hockey, EIGHT, figured I'd do a mailbag blog. There's been a little bit of B's news, but right now just status quo, players self quarantining. We're all just trying to survive right now.

Bright Lights is probably doing a crossword puzzle. Actually he's definitely playing video games.

Yes but it'll hurt everyones momentum, so. Tough place to be. But the health of the entire nation is more important.

You would think so. The last NHL team to NOT have a plan in place for their workers. It's insane. B's have just been silent. The Celtics are a tenant and they came out right away with a plan. I feel for everyone who works at the Garden. It's time to WAKE UP Jacobs. Feits had a great blog about it today.

If you can afford it, there is a GoFundMe for the employees. Click here.

Bill Daly has said they're prioritizing having a full 20-21 season while still trying to have a playoff this year. But if this thing drags out there very well could be no Stanley Cup awarded this year. Which would be NUTS but the safety and health of everyone in the country is more important than sports.

This has been proposed and I'd be all for this format. The Bruins are just so good this year it'd suck if they didn't get a chance at the Cup this spring. But again, this Coronavirus is a real motherfucker and we've got to do everything we can to flatten the curve. Stay inside. Wash your hands. We will get through this.

News, notes and quotes:

- The Bruins did sign 2 players yesterday, goalie Jeremy Swayman out of Maine and undrafted free agent Nick Wolff from Minnesota Duluth. Wolff is a big body "stay at home" defensemen. Swayman, the 2014 4th round pick is in line to replace Tuukka Rask one day.

- Zdeno Chara turned 43 yesterday, with Tom Brady leaving the Pats he's now the oldest player in Boston. Happy belated to Zeezus.

- An Ottawa Senators player has tested positive for the Coronavirus, but their name has not been announced.

- I wonder how many wins Pasta has in Fortnite during this quarantine. O/U 50? "Only good players" kills me.

- This Boston guy that stumbled upon yesterday's press conference definitely tweets about how Tuka Rusk cost the B's the Cup in Game 7 and complains that Chara has the C over Bergeron. I love him though, what a beauty.
