Joe Exotic was a piece of shit. Sure, there is an argument to be made that of all the main characters he was the most sympathetic figure, but he was a piece of shit. He was a predator who would pick up drug addicts at a bus stop, turn them gay with meth, pay them $100 a week, make them live in rat infested trailers, feed them rotten Walmart meat, and if someone were to get attacked by a big cat his very first response was, "I'm never going to financially recover from this." He'd shoot guns at people, torture animals, and try to hire folks to murder someone (someone who certainly murdered her husband). One of the straight guys he made his husband killed himself and Joe dressed like a priest then performed a song at the funeral, not a song written for his deceased lover just a song Joe wanted to sing because he had a crown. He was a scumbag of the highest order. 

So I'd be surprised if Joe's stance on the N word was anything but, "If black people can say it, why can't I?!"
