Larry David Went On Howard Stern And Said He Could Be A Tremendous NFL Coordinator For The Jets

USA Today – “Stern: I heard that you said that you could coach the Jets. You were being serious, right?

David: I think just with a little studying, I think I could be a tremendous offensive coordinator, and defensive coordinator. I see many things that I know I could fix.

Stern: Don’t you think that would be a great [Curb Your Enthusiasm] season? Are you that much of a football fan?

David: I think I’m an average football fan. But I’m a big Jet fan.

Stern: Is there any evidence that you could do this kind of job?

David: When I was a kid and we used to play football in the parking lot, I would design very good plays.

Stern: And you’re being serious?

David: Yeah! Why couldn’t I do that? Other people do it, why not me?”

I am telling you right now, with 100% seriousness, I’d take Larry David as the Jets OC before putting Marty Morninghninwheg back on the sidelines. Between that timeout against Green Bay on a game tying touchdown and the dumb ass Wildcat and gimmick plays at the worst times, he was gruesome. I swear to God if I saw him call one more QB sneak on a 3rd and 1 inside the Red Zone when Chris Ivory had like 120 yards after contact, I was going to kill myself. Lets give Larry a shot out there. At the very least lets let him be Cornerbacks Coach because he seems supremely confident that nobody is getting open in the flat. He’d no doubt fill the hole of Rex’s personality. Lord knows he’d handle himself better with the press than that muppet Idzik. And there would be absolutely none of this eternal optimism when these guys are playing like shit. Larry David would tell it like it is. He would flat out tell you Geno Smith and Kyle Wilson sucked. He would dethrone Jim Mora’s “Playoffs!?” speech if you ever asked him about where the team was headed. What this team needs is a neurotic Jew and the sidelines to change the culture of this team.
