I May Be Biased, But The Colts Had A GREAT Draft Last Night

No Jordan Love? No problem! Chris Ballard used last nights picks on a couple offensive weapons, and a safety. Spoiler alert, these were amazing picks! Let's start off with our first pick, Michael Pittman Jr.

I'm in love with this guy. I for one wanted Tee Higgins and was upset we missed him by one pick, but Michael is the real deal. I can tell you right now this is a great weapon for Philip Rivers. Pittman Jr. is 6'4", 225 pounds, can play special teams, even block punts! He has an incredible record of 254 targets and 5 drops! He can Randy Moss defenders with ease, overpower defender in 1 on 1 man coverage, and is straight up gamechanger. The former Trojan is going to be lining up with T.Y Hilton and Zach Pascal this year, and I can't wait.

I did not see this coming. I thought we were going to grab another WR or DB. Ballard traded his 44th pick for the Browns 41st pick and got Jonathan Taylor from Wisconsin. Run The Damn Ball is about to mean even more this year. The combination of Marlon Mack, Nyheim Hines, and Jonathan Taylor is going to be deadly! He honestly reminds me of a slightly smaller version of Zeke Elliott. He's very elusive, can squirm his way out of holes, and when he has open field, he's gone. He's also going to have some new blockers with the addition of Roosevelt Nix and Trey Burton. Many experts have been saying he should've been a 1st round pick, and it makes me happy that Ballard may have found another stud in the 2nd round.

Last but not least, we got our surprise pick. Safety Julian Blackmon from Utah. I think Julian is going to create some competition for the safety position. There's rumors that Malik Hooker might get traded, and we have some young guys like Greg Odum and Khari Willis who were solid last year. He has solid size, but my only concern is how is he going to perform. Julian is still recovering from an ACL tear back in December. We need help in the safety position, and this was overall a safe pick for us.

Overall, I couldn't be more happy with the first 3 picks. I bet we use the rest of our picks today on another WR, a pass rusher, and the offensive line. The Colts are in win now mode, you can feel it. As always, go horse!
