Knicks Radio Play-By-Play Announcer Mike Crispino Voted Steph Curry Fifth In His MVP Ballot

Well the Knicks year from hell continues.  First Steve Kerr wisely spurns the Knicks for the Warriors and wins 67 games.  Then New York ends up settling for Derek Fisher and paying him $25 million for 5 years.   And THEN we have to endure the whole “worst season in franchise history” thing while not even securing the most NBA lottery balls.  Add in the losses the team took in the Tyson Chandler and JR Smith/Iman Shumpert trades, and morale is rightly pretty low right now in Knicksland.

Now I try not to get upset about how people vote on these awards, but this is just silly.  As I wrote in my Street Fighter 2/NBA MVP blog, Steph was the HEAVY favorite.  If you wanted to talk yourself into James Harden, I could live with it.  But there is no fucking way Marc Gasol should be voted MVP over a guy that guided his team to one of the best seasons in NBA history.  One of the best parts about being a New York fan is you get to say that you are smarter than all other sports fans.  Is it true?  Maybe, maybe not.  But when our play-by-play announcers are voting Stephen Curry fifth in the MVP voting, it is a bad goddamn look.  Though to be fair to Crispino, people that follow the Knicks do not get much exposure to MVPs throughout a typical season.  Mostly because the owner of the team is a kazoo playing asshat that may or may not be the worst human in the universe.

And brace yourself folks.  Because once #BlackTwitter hears about this, the amount of “Bruhs” and “SMDH’s” may cause Twitter to implode like the old Seattle Kingdome.

Anyway, no matter what Crispino thinks, Steph Curry is the goddamn 2014-15 NBA MVP.  God bless that Vine-starring stud.  Enjoy your moment of Steph Curry zen.
