Steelers Team Doctor Confident "Ben's Gonna Be Ben Again". Thank God.
Part Two of Ben Roethlisberger's recovery documentary dropped on Wednesday morning and there was a lot of good news in it for Steelers fans.
First off if you could get by the stitches being removed from a 6 inch scar on Big Ben's elbow without wincing too much and thinking "Fuck we have to rely on that NOT doing anything wrong for 16+ games this year" then everything is gravy.
The really good news came right after that when Steelers team doctor Dr. Jim Bradley was talking about all that the big fella has been through physically on the field through his career but especially with this surgery when he dropped the words we've all wanted to hear:
"Pretty sure Ben is gonna be Ben again".
Then when asked what motivates him at this point in his career, 7's first response was "I want to win a Super Bowl because I want my kids to be up there to celebrate with me."
Tough scene for all the "he's ready to retire" folks.
"I'm motivated to try to win Lombardi's for this city," he followed with. "I'm motivated to want to try to be a Hall of Famer. And these are just on the football field. I'm motivated that I've got a lot of young guys now that are on my team that were literally in elementary school and even younger when I started playing and winning Super Bowls…I want them to come to this team and be like 'man he was everything I thought as a young dude.'"
The dude just looks refreshed, rejuvenated, and happy to be back out there again.
Only 12 days until we see it back in action.
Here we go.
