Shaq Is Absolutely 100% Over Steve Nash Winning MVP In 2005 And Won't Accuse Him Of Stealing A Trophy From Him During Interviews In 2020
Shaq will always and forever be pissed about this. Hell, you can't talk about Steve Nash winning MVP without bringing up either Kobe or Shaq. Everyone says that Nash stole the MVP from each of them in back to back years. As the biggest Steve Nash fan out there, I say those are idiots, including Shaq. But this is what Shaq is talking about last night:
The Suns were even better that year! But here's what I like about this interaction, both guys are 100% serious. Sure they may be laughing, but this is 15 years in the making here. Steve Nash is sick and tired of hearing how he stole MVP's. There may not be a more disrespected MVP in the history of sports than Steve Nash. He fires back with the fact that Shaq couldn't make free throws and was out of shape. But it's still Shaq. The dude was still a freak. He's also a lunatic. He's got the biggest ego out there and you know he's dying for another MVP.
God, I loved watching Steve Nash play:
The dude was just so much fun. One of the prettiest shots in the game, his passing, the wrong-footed layups. I've debated putting up a TV in my son's crib and start just looping in these highlights as he's in there. Hoping it helps develop him to be a better player, no idea if it works, but at this rate I'll do anything. Those 7 Seconds or Less Suns were so damn awesome too. Outside of the Knicks, that's the one team I wish won a ring. Wish Nash had one. That team deserved one for not playing games in the 70s anymore.
