Jordan Spieth: "Standing On A Tee At The U.S. Open And Not Exactly Knowing Where The Ball Is Going To Go Is Not A Great Feeling"

JORDAN SPIETH There's a lot that's off. I'm not really sure. If I knew, I'd fix it. So I'm kind of just -- kind of working through it and looking forward to having more time off to figure it out. I mean, yeah, I'm late behind it. The second I try to get back out in front of it, it's hooking.

Standing on a tee at the U.S. Open and not exactly knowing where the ball is going to go is not a great feeling. I know you guys probably haven't experienced that before, but it's not incredibly enjoyable. But I'll grind it out. I don't ever give up. I have no reason to. I'm here.

Jordan Spieth's honesty and candidness about his game is awesome. Most often players reveal the least amount to the public about their games. Or they just lie. They lean on saying they're "really close," or they tease they "just need to tighten a few things up" to get through an interview.

Not Jordan Spieth. He comes right out and says it sucks not knowing where the ball is going. He says it's a bad feeling. He says: "There's a lot that's off. I'm not really sure. If I knew, I'd fix it."

That's awesome. You know why? Because it's honest and, even better, it's insanely relatable. We've all stood on the tee and had absolutely no clue where it's going. For most of us that's the majority of what we know. And yes, it really does suck. It's a lonely and embarrassing feeling. Then you hit one off planet earth and somebody asks, "what happened there?" And you say what Spieth said: "I don't really know. If I knew, I'd fix it."

I think the entire golf world is rooting for Spieth to get it back, right? Like every single person that knows, follows, or likes golf to any degree?

Go Jordan go. This ending from him gives me all the hope I need.

"I'll grind it out. I don't ever give up. I have no reason to. I'm here."

Pretty impressive 73, really, after reading these quotes.
