Trey Mancini Finishing Chemotherapy Is The Best Thing You'll See All Day
In a year that has been such shit for basically everyone, this is a nice sight to see. On Monday Orioles stud, and all around great person, Trey Mancini finished his chemotherapy treatment for stage 3 colon cancer. It was such a kick in the gut for everyone in the area when Trey announced the news back in March, but if you know Trey and the type of person he was, you knew he would absolutely dominate this and beat it. All things considered, this was the best news the Orioles had all season. And while it's the last thing on mine and a lot of Orioles fans' minds, Trey has said multiple times he plans of being 100% for spring training for 2021. Just the fact that he was dealt this absolutely awful hand and had such a positive mindset throughout the whole thing shows what kind of person he is and why he is loved all around Baltimore. He was supposed to have another fantastic year, make his name bigger in the baseball circles, and take another step forward as the face of the franchise. Instead he was undergoing chemo, going to treatment and rehab, and didn't play an inning of baseball this season. Trey never bitched, he never complained, and was always so positive about the situation.
Just scrolling through the pictures his girlfriend and all around saint, Sara Perlman posted, you can see this wasn't easy nor fun. It's not something a 28-year-old All Star hopeful is supposed to go through, and Sara was there the whole time. She went from an in front of the camera star, to a stay at home nurse and did an unreal job helping Trey these last few months. In a year full of shit, this is one of the better moments. Congrats Trey, looking forward to you MASHING in 2021.
