Sweden Wants To Call Female Masterbation "Klittra" Because It's Girly

Huffington Post- “Klittra” — Sweden’s unofficial new term for female masturbation — combines the words “clitoris” (klitoris) and “glitter” (glittra) in an effort to encourage a positive outlook on women’s sexual pleasure.

In 2014, the Swedish Association for Sexuality Education (RFSU) declared a need for more open dialogue about women and masturbation. “When it comes to masturbation, people mostly think about just men doing it and we don’t think of it as common for women. If we don’t have a word in the language, how can we even talk about it?”

So Sweden wants to create a name for female masturbation and the best they could come up with is “Klittra”, dumb. I agree 1000% that there needs to be a word for female masturbation, it being so common it’s only fair that it has a name. But they can’t be serious with Klittra; I get that its supposed to be positive, open, girly, blah blah blah. This is like when girls call sweating, glistening (I’m embarrassed to admit I know people who do that). Some things just aren’t cute and we shouldn’t pretend they are. Klittra doesn’t even sound good as a verb, “Gotta go guys, I really need to Klittra.” “WAIT don’t come in I’m… Klittra-ing?” Just doesn’t work.

If Sweden is serious about having an open dialogue about female masturbation then lets call a spade a spade. I’m going with “juicing”or “juiced-off”,sounds like a pretty accurate description if you ask me. And it sounds healthy, bonus.
