Down 23 Players And Coaches and Up 28-0 At Halftime? Ohio State Is Clearly A Top 4 Team....Find A New Slant
So, what's everyone's hot take going to be this week? Because the one where they say "we haven't seen enough from Ohio State to put them in the playoff" is officially dead. No Ryan Day. Missing three starters on the Offensive Line. Three more starters on defense. And three assistant coaches. And just absolutely embarrassing Michigan State. Beating them like they stole something. Justin Fields look like he's in a video game,
but even if the offense sat on the sideline the entire half we'd still be winning right now. And you can sit here all you want and tell me that Michigan State stinks (let me remind you we left 100 players in Columbus for this game), but the fact of the matter is they're coming off beating the champion of the West Division, the vaunted Northwestern Wildcats. Oooooooooh. This team we're playing beat THAT team? Why even make us do it?
Stop the season now. Forget the 6 game minimum rule. Honestly, cancel the Big Ten Championship game, too. Ohio State shouldn't have to risk themselves any longer. They have proven themselves to be a Top 4 team in the country, and playing in games like this during a global pandemic is just throwing gasoline on the fire. I don't care anymore if Michigan plays us next weekend. I don't care if we get excluded from the conference title. Everyone knows what we've got.....and to keep this roster out of the playoff would be a crime against humanity. If the ESPN narrative after this one isn’t that a short handed Ohio State team just proved to everyone it’s a Top 4 team regardless of games played then they clearly just don’t want us in the playoff. Plain and simple.
If I were on the committee I'd argue that Ohio State has just shown enough to move up to #2 in the rankings. Potentially #1 but I think if I said that you all would accuse me of being biased.

Okay, before we come out for the 2nd half, can the media decide what we need to do for this to be an "impressive win" in the headlines? Does hanging 50 on them work, or will that make them a bad team? Should we let them back in the game and make it a close win? You guys tell us! If we were in the SEC I'd tell us to lose so we get a quality loss on our resume, but that only counts for the Texas A&Ms and Floridas of the world.
