Shout Out To This 99 Year Old Granny Who Beat Covid's Ass

A 99-year-old Croatian woman has given doctors the thumbs up after beating coronavirus on Thursday.
Margareta Kranjcec, who lives in an old people's home in the central city of Karlovac, was hospitalised in late October after testing positive for Covid-19.
She spent three weeks in Ogulin General Hospital before being released and says she now feels much better.
'It's over, I feel fine now,' she told the Vecernji List newspaper.
Kranjcec is bedridden due to her age and fragility but has no serious health conditions and reportedly only went to live in the home a few months ago.
Shout out to this old bag for kicking COVID's ass!!! Love hearing stories of people beating the shit out of COVID, and no, I'm not talking about someone like me who mathematically should handle COVID easy peasy like I did; I'm talking about those who might not fare as well as a 32 year old with no health conditions beating its brains in.
People like Margareta. Look at this young whippersnapper!
She doesn't look a day over 98, but is giving a metaphorical middle finger right in this goddamn pandemic's face. I love that - fuck off Corona. You might be spreading like wildfire right now, but not on Margareta's watch. She's got the mental fortitude of a SEAL Team XI member and you failed in your attempt to take her from us, you fucking cocksucker.
We need more stories like this. Everything seems to be doom and gloom when there are still good stories floating around out there.
Also, in other Coronavirus related news…
The Daily Mail also had a highly informative article on everything COVID vaccine related, which can be found in the tweet above. A few notes:
1. Each person who takes the vaccine needs two doses - you'd take one, would start to develop immunities about 12 days after the first dose, take the second dose 21 days following the first dose, and should theoretically be immune to the virus at the 28 day mark
2. Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZeneca have found their vaccines to be about 95% effective.
3. Vaccine distribution will be tiered into phases; those who are the most vulnerable to the virus will be first in line, then those who aren't will follow. Someone like me who's healthy and had the virus will be last in line, and I think that is perfectly fine. Here is a great visual aid to reference. It's for the UK and not the states, but it is similar enough to how we will operate. It works as a visual aid, for all intents and purposes:
I read the other day that 70% of any given population needs to have either contracted the virus or get the vaccine for "herd immunity" to start taking place. There are about 330MM people in the USA, so that means about 230MM people will either need to have already had the virus or get the vaccine for us to completely eradicate ourselves of this mess the right way.

Chicago in particular will be getting ~25,000 doses by the end of the year, per Crains:
Which is a nice start in vaccinating the elderly and others who are highly vulnerable should they contract the virus.
Now, I am not telling you to get the vaccine. It's your body, you do what you want with it. But come March or April of 2021, the vaccine should be widely available to anyone who wants it. I'm not saying that you must or must not get it, I'm saying that once the vaccine is widely accessible, we have to COMPLETELY open the country and world; I'm talking packed bars, stadiums, clubs, grocery stores, etc. It's your call if you want to get the vaccine or not, but if it's widely available, you can't bitch about anything at all should you contract it.
That's my 2 cents, and it looks like come New Years day, we should be down the stretch. Fucking finally.
