I Can Feel It, Coming In The Cleveland Air Tonight, Oh Lord
I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord
And I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord
Can you feel it coming in the air tonight? Oh Lord, oh Lord
Folks, tonight is the night that the Cleveland Browns reestablish themselves as the kings of the modern world, or at least the National Football League for the first time since 1964. In recent years (20+), other teams and fan bases have mocked us. Laughed at us. Stuck their noses up at us. Told their kids, "at least we're not the Browns". But tonight, we're going to go on national television and beat the living shit out of the defending AFC North champion Ravens. Because every once in a while, CLEVELAND needs to remind the world who we are.
Okay, maybe we are a dump of a city. And maybe we have been the laughing stock of professional sports for the past couple decades. But we've got a really good football team this year. And while everyone is finally starting to catch on after our disposal of the Titans last week, tonight is about to be our coming out party on Monday Night Football. The whole world will be tuned in to see us send the big bad Ravens into their offseason and let the Steelers know that we're right on their tail. Can you feel it coming in the air tonight? I'm talking 40-14 BROWNS.
I just don't see how it's possible for the Browns not to come out and put on a show tonight. The way these two teams are trending, the way Cleveland is so close to the playoffs they can taste it, and the way this city is hungry for a winner……I can just see it now. Baker dancing on the sideline as the clock winds down. Thinking of what he's going to say in his postgame presser. I’ve been waiting for a moment like this my entire life. It’s going to be beautiful.
I honestly think Chubb runs for 150 tonight. I think Hunt gets another 100. I think Hollywood Higgins brings in a touchdown. I think Jarvis Landry might even throw one. To Baker! Tonight is going to be a GREAT night to be a Cleveland Brown.
….and oh what a change of events that would be from the last time these two played, earlier this year in Week 1.
What an embarrassing day. But I knew this year was going to be different. I just knew it. Read those blogs, and you'll see that I said this season was far from over. So we got blown out by the defending #1 record in the AFC on their home field in Week 1? Okay. That's why we play 16 of them, guys. Because now we've rattled off 4 straight wins and are on the verge of clinching our first playoff berth since 2002. The Ravens, on the other hand, are in a little bit different of a boat…

Oh no, Lamar. Oh nooooo. The Ravens have lost 4 of their last 6? Someone call 9-1-1……we need life support! Meanwhile, the Browns are sitting here at a 95% chance of making the playoffs. 2020 is wild, man.
But hey, while I have you here, can someone please explain to me why the Ravens are -3 tonight? The Browns are playing great. The Ravens are playing bad. The Browns are at home. How are they getting points? I mean, the ONLY point you could make here is that this is a hungry dog runs faster game. I know this is a must win for them, but I'd still have to argue that even at 9-3, Baker and the Browns are hungrier tonight. We are so damn close we can finally taste it.
Browns moneyline, easy. Keep your 3 points, squares.
