It's A Christmas Miracle! According To Jay Glazer, Jessie Armstead Is Going To Coach The Giants Outside Linebackers Tonight Vs. The Browns
It's clearly been a tough week for Giants fans. Our QB1 has multiple injuries, our shutdown corner is out because his chiropractor got the coco, our offensive coordinator actually came down with coronavirus, our outside linebackers coach is now the head coach of Illinois, OUR PETS HEADS ARE FALLING OFF!
So what does Coach Judge do? After talking about honoring the history and style of Giants football, he practices what he preaches by bringing Jessie Armstead in as OLB Coach after Bret Bielema skedaddled for his new job while we are in the middle of a playoff race. I don't know how connected Armstead is to the team while acting as a special consultant for the G-Men. But science tells us that simply being in the same room as this man should make you a better linebacker by osmosis.
I can't wait to see how this all plays out in this year's America's Game. Does Armstead get to be one of the interviews or is he just a small cameo in it? You're right, it's way too early to talk like that. We have to see how the outside linebackers perform in the Super Bowl first.
P.S. Speaking of Super Bowls, I hate to bring up painful memories, especially on a gameday. But Jessie Armstead being robbed of that Pick 6 against the Ravens in Super Bowl XXXV because of a fucking DEFENSIVE HOLDING PENALTY on Keith Hamilton remains maybe the biggest injustice in the history of the National Football League if not the planet. I'm not saying the Giants would've won a game they got smoked in. But that flag changed everything about the game and I will go to my grave saying Big Blue could've at least held their own in that game even if they were going against a preposterously great defense.
I will now run a lap for bringing up such a vicious memory.
