Some Things: Rico Bosco Has Squashed the Beef With ESPN’s Fran Fraschilla
If you know one thing about Rico Bosco, it's that he is almost always in the middle of some beef. Have we all encountered "beef" with someone in our lives? Of course. But the thing about Rico is that most of the beef he is involved with is usually a one-way street.
That brings us to today's guest on the Barstool Bench Mob - ESPN College Basketball Analyst Fran Fraschilla. If you're a fan of the sport, you know Fran. You've watched tons of games with Fran on the call (most of them in the Big 12). The former D-I Coach was generous enough to take some time to talk to Marty, Rico, and I about this unique season in college hoops, what the NCAA Tournament is going to look like, and much more.
However, the elephant in the room with this one was about Rico's grudge against Fraschilla. What is it, you ask? Here's some brief context:
Keep in mind that Fraschilla told us on the podcast that the quote was taken out of context by a court-side reporter who overheard parts of the conversation with the official during this game against Air Force back in 2002. That obviously didn't mean much to our friend Rico, who gave the former man at the helm at Manhattan, St. John's, and New Mexico *plenty* of reminders about these words over the years, as seen above.
But that all changed on today's show. Rico apologized, Fran said he is going to unblock him on Twitter (Oh, the irony), and it seems like these two have repaired their relationship. This monumental occasion even made Wikipedia!
Some things are bigger than sports.
