Juwan Howard Is So Desperate To Get Michigan Playing Again He's Willing To Play Wisconsin Outside At A Playground
Goddamn do I love Juwan Howard. I feel for Michigan. They were absolutely rolling, got to number 3 in the country and then got a university-wide shutdown. We missed out on Michigan/Illinois, who are the two best teams in the Big 10 last night and we *should* have Wisconsin/Michigan on Sunday. But leave it to Juwan. He'll play no matter what. You think he gives a shit about February weather in Wisconsin? Nope. He grew up in Chicago and played in the snow. He'll get the ball to Hunter Dickinson in the post no matter if they can dribble or not.
The line 'we're for competitors only' has me wanting to go play for Michigan. There's no doubt Jim Harbaugh is stirring in his khakis with his milk that he didn't come up with it. Then again, Howard is actually winning Big 10 games so it's fair he gets the A+ motto. I actually want to see this game outside now. Shit, if we could have games on the deck of an aircraft carrier we can find a playground and make it work. Throw it back old school and let everyone get into it. This season is already weird as shit to begin with, so let's throw in an outdoor game to the mix.
Michigan hasn't played since January 22, so I get the frustration. This Michigan team is awesome. They have depth, they have a couple stars in Franz Wagner, Isaiah Livers and Hunter Dickinson. They have shooting with Mike Smith at 47% and Livers at 44%. We've seen team struggle off of a Covid pause, so who knows how Michigan will look after getting off to a 13-1 start. All I know is Howard is determined to start playing. Lace them up, find a playground and let's get to Sunday.
