BBC Earth Video Of The Day - Kung Fu Mantis' Are Nothing To Fuck With

I mean what the actual fuck did I just watch? You tune into the BBC Earth youtube and you're looking for lions, tigers, and bears (oblligator oh my!)...you're not looking for Kung Fu Mantis' squaring up with jumping spiders. Yet that's just the beauty of BBC. They get the people going. They'll put insect brawls out there for you to revel in. 

I, for one, am still indifferent on how I should take this video. Is it extremely cool? Of course. Do I need to see insects like this up close? I would say probably not. I mean that spider is fucking GROOOSSSSSS. Him with his 8 eyes or some shit is simply not what I want to be looking at as I'm heading into the weekend. Not to mention the hair on his arms makes that guy look like the Sasquatches arachnid cousin! There's a lot of things I just choose not to think about often & spiders having fucking hair should absolutely be one of them.

And we obviously have to mention that Kung Fu stance from the Kung Fu Mantis...Is that how the original Kung Fu stance was decided? What came first, the stance or the Mantis? I'm gonna need to do a deep dive into ole wikipedia to figure that one out. 

I do really have to give props to the mantis though. What a warrior…that is until he gets absolutely chomped down on by that big white alien motherfucker at the end. How's that thing even from Earth? Truly, truly, truly looks like an otherwordly being. Either way though fuck that thing. Made for a real sad end of the video.
