The Best Movies And Shows Coming And Going From HBO Max In March
Here are the big hitters:
1. Godzilla vs Kong (March 31st): It's giant monke vs death lizard. FWIW, Godzilla wins this fight 100/100 times if the writers didn't have to drag it out for cinematic effect. I think it's pretty obvious by this point, though, that they're going to team up by the end of the movie to fight a bigger villain.
2. Zack Snyder's Justice League (March 18th): After what feels like a centuries long wait, it is finally here. All 4 hours and 1 minute of it. That's right, four hours and one minute for this bad boy. While I am excited to see this because it's fairly obvious how bad scummy Joss Whedon tanked the movie, I don't think it is going to be some sort of revelation for the comic book world.
3. Speed (March 13th): Speed is one of the best action movies of the 90s. Not only were Keanu and Bullock amazing, but talk about a fantastic villain performance from the late great Dennis Hopper.
4. Ocean's Eleven (March 1st): It's arguably the best heist movie of all time. There will never be a bad time to sit down and watch it start to finish and it is almost impossible to be sick of it.
5. The Rocky Franchise (March 6th): We recently interviewed Jay Duplass, who brought up a great point about Rocky. It's common to think of them as this big monster blockbuster franchise, but the original Rocky was legitimately a triumph in Indie filming. That said, I'm still a sucker for watching him beat up that big Russian Bastard in Rocky IV.
