This is probably the hardest thing I've ever had to write so let me just begin that this business, & my family story are nothing like you've ever heard before. My father, business owner & head chef, Aldo Venturi has been in the restaurant industry for over 45 years. He came here from Italy at 16 years and two restaurants later, he mastered the ala cart business with Libretti's in (Orange, NJ) & in 1998 he bought an old rusty barn and turned that into a banquet hall known as Ravello Ristorante, in East Hanover, NJ. We have been in East Hanover ever since. My father is the epitome of the American Dream. He was diagnosed with Leukemia 2 years ago and was in need of a bone marrow transplant to survive. Between my brother and I, Greg was the best choice to save his life. The transplant was successful (for a short period of time) which caused my dad a year without working, my brother to not finish school because he had to step into the family business and as well as myself. I gave up my job in corporate sales to help support my dad, and our family business. He finally gets better, then covid hits, then we slowly reopen outside in the summer to desperately stay afloat, and then my father relapses again this year. My brother just re gave another round of stem cells to help him have a second fighting chance. & in the midst of all this I have a husband who has cancer and a 7 month old baby. This fund would tremendously help my family in more ways you could imagine. Thank you.
