Oh no Jae, what did you do. There's a lot of reasons why this probably wasn't the best idea. For starters, Jae Crowder participated in that very Finals that he is now claiming is fake. In fact, as we're seeing when it comes to those Miami Heat, I don't think anyone who was on that team should be making this suggestion

When it comes to Crowder specifically, it's not pretty either

I may not know much in life, but I know this. The last thing on earth you want to do is give LeBron/AD bulletin board material. I'm sure Crowder was feeling himself after what happened in Game 1, he decided to have a little fun because AD stunk up the joint, but let's look at what's happened since.

Back to back monster nights, it's pretty clear that Crowder woke up a sleeping giant. Even LeBron had his fun last night

I will stick up for Jae here though. LeBron was just 1-6 last night while being guarded by Crowder. Those were his only 2 points. Doesn't matter though, the damage was done. Look into the playoff history between these two and LeBron dominates that matchup. Trust me, I've lived it.

The reality of the situation is this is looking more and more like a typical Lakers playoff series. They drop Game 1, the world freaks out, then they come back and dominate. Part of it is the fact that Chris Paul is clearly not himself with the shoulder injury, another part is the Suns have to deal with the Lakers playoff whistle. I mean in these last two games, Anthony Davis has nearly taken more FTA by himself (35) than the Suns have as a team (48). Unfortunately for the Suns, that's never going to change. It also doesn't help that the Lakers are winning these games without even shooting well from three. They were just 7-28 last night and are shooting only 27.6% for the series so far. That's probably going to even out at some point which isn't exactly great for the Suns.

I'm a firm believer if you're going to talk shit like this, you have to back it up. You can't call someone's championship fake, that came over you by the way, and then go out and stink up the joint, which Crowder unfortunately has this series. I'm someone who loves Jae Crowder as a player too. He's tough as nails, I don't think it's an accident that every team he's on seems to be pretty good, and he is one of those guys who can have a prayer 5-6 night from three that can change a game. I just also know it's a bad idea to do stuff like this. Talk like that with your teammates, your family, whatever. Do not do it publicly, because last night is what happens when you do.

Now the Lakers have all the momentum, AD is awake and back to dominating any big in his path, and we haven't even had a good LeBron game yet. It was already unfortunate for the Suns that after their magical regular season they had to play a healthy LeBron/AD in the first round. Well now you not only have to deal with that reality, you gave them bulletin board material and extra motivation to bury you. Not smart!
