The Jaguars game yesterday was an abomination to the Lord. After months and months of hype and hope, the same ole Jaguars took the field on Sunday and ensured that the Jaguars will not get a regular-season win in over a calendar year. With that, the fans are fucking pissed. I was sitting in my office yesterday and furious that this is the performance that we got. I expected Trevor to have some ups and downs. Every single NFL rookie Qb looks like a rookie. Whether it's Peyton Manning throwing 28 picks his first year or Blaine Gabbert tossing the ball through the back of the end zone, growing pains are going to happen.
That doesn't excuse what happened yesterday though. So, who gets the blame?
The social media team. Fans are pissed and the only @ they really take it out on is the official team account. I cannot imagine reading those tweets all the time. It would be fucking depressing like reading every comment on every blog. No one should do that for their own sanity.
But, the Jaguars social team took it a touch personally yesterday and started unfollowing fans that have been there literally since day one. Take my guy Tim here. He co-founded the Bold City Brigade which is easily the Jaguars biggest dedicated fan group. They organized a trip to Houston for this first game and have gone on several away trips over the years. Hell, in 2013, BCB went all the way to Seattle to get throttled by the seahawks who like to remind Jaguars fans that they took Russel Wilson after we took a punter... in the 3rd round.
Cant unfollow a guy like Tim. Not while he's literally in Houston cheering on this team that is something insane like 40 and 110 since Shad Khan took over as owner. Just can't do it.
You know who recognizes that? The Titans... the mother fucking Titans. Credit where credit is due. The Titans got whooped yesterday but they aren't lamenting in ashes and throwing hissy fits via the unblock button. A certain Duval-based team could learn a thing or two.
Dont you dare, Titans. Dont you fucking dare.
