Three Days Notice For Sean Taylor's Jersey Retirement Ceremony Is Reprehensible. Three Days. Three.
Three days notice. Three. That's the notice you give when you need to crash on a friend's couch. That's the notice you give when you'll be in town and want to hook up with an ex. That is not the notice you give when you retire the most beloved player in franchise history's number.
Sean Taylor's jersey retirement ceremony should have been a ginormous moment for this franchise, the fans, and for Sean's family. Instead, it now is a giant clusterfuck leaving all of us fans wondering how the fuck they could screw up such an easy win and turn it into such a gigantic L.
Yep. I think everyone feels this way. This would have been a game that brought the fanbase together, packed the stadium, honored Sean, and made improvements on this "culture" thing they always speak of. Instead they did the opposite. Sean's number will be retired in front of empty seats and Chiefs fans.
Truly insane how badly they've managed to screw this up. But hey, at least we know Coldplay will be here
NEXT JUNE.
