Carlos Correa Is The Perfect MLB Villain And He Showed Why Last Night With An A+ Celebration After His Go Ahead Bomb

Carlos Correa knows dramatics, he knows big moments, he knows when it's time to break out an A+ pimp job. We haven't seen a pimp job in the postseason like this since Jose Bautista sent his bat to Mars back in 2015. Correa up at the plate with the game tied in the bottom of the 7th. 2 strikes, 2 out when Hansel Robles fires a high change up over the plate and Correa pounces all over it. You could have told me this ball was going 985 feet and I'd have believed you. He knew it immediately, Robles didn't though. He gave it the nice "UP!" point like he thought it was a pop up behind second base.

What a moment for Robles. Meanwhile a millisecond later Correa is tossing his bat on the ground and breaks out the watch tapping celly. "IT'S MY TIME" he shouted as he walked up the first baseline and standing at the plate for no less than 43 seconds. He wanted to watch every second of that homer and I can't blame him. Massive home run to put the Astros up in the game and really swung the game in their favor. The checking of the watch really made the celebration, I almost jumped out of bed when I saw it. This guy loves trolling people.

Say what you want about Correa and the Astros and how they handled the whole cheating situation but they're fucking good. Like really good. I don't think we've ever seen an entire team embrace the villain role like the Astros, and we've never seen a player like Correa who had some god awful comments during the scandal embrace the villain role. He loves it, he loves that you hate him and call him a cheater, he hates that you don't subscribe to his MMA Podcast, but he doesn't care because he's a better baseball player than 90% of the league. Correa loves moments like this and you could tell because it seemed like he knew exactly what celebration he was going to break out the second he connected. Almost like he knew a HR pitch was coming eyeball emojis. It was an awesome moment in the game last night and the videos and pictures of it were sick too, this series is going to be so much fun. Hopefully we get a full on rock fight for 7 games.
