LSU Ran Possibly the Worst Hail Mary Defense of All-Time
Just when it looked like LSU might be cruising to a victory against No. 20 Florida to save Ed Orgeron's job for another week, the Tigers pulled out one of the worst Hail Mary coverages you'll ever see at the end of the first half. Everybody in the corner of the end zone just looks around at each other expecting someone else to do something.
The most inexcusable is the LSU player behind the receiver, who has his arms cradled ready to catch a ball that isn't going to get to him – you know, because of the Florida player directly in front of him. And it's not like a pick even means anything in the back of the end zone with no time on the clock. Just bat the ball down.
Luckily if you're an LSU fan, the defense came out in the second half and got those seven points back. So I guess it all came out in the wash, even though that clip isn't going anywhere.
