All-Time Good Break: Bengals Players Destroy A Fan's Phone Celebrating A TD, Players Hook Him And His Sneaker Business Up
[Fox 19] - “CJ reached out to me and said he’d give me a new phone,” Day explained. “I wasn’t too worried about it. I like the phone I have, and he said he should be able to hook me up with some tickets. [...] I’d rather have the tickets than a phone.”
Turns out, Day could get both.
Uzomah messaged Day offering to send him the “newest” smartphone on the market as well as tickets to the see the Bengals take on the Steelers or the Browns at Paul Brown Stadium
Talk about your all-time good breaks here for Sebastian Day. There are few worse feelings than knowing you just shattered your phone. You gotta deal with getting it fixed, getting a new phone, dealing with that whole process. No thank you. You try to deal with the broken phone until you cut your finger and finally give up. OR you get lucky, go viral and CJ Uzomah gets you a new phone, tickets to a home game and starts helping out your sneaker business. Rare to get that sort of break.
I can't stop laughing at Sebastian's Twitter account too. The man didn't tweet for months until the phone incident. His last tweet?
Love it. Talk about striking when the iron is hot. You're just sitting on the perfect tweet. When you go that long without tweeting you better make it worth it. 18,000 likes or so will do just that. This is one of the beauties of Twitter. 10 years ago? Nothing. Maybe in the press conference CJ tries to shout you out and get your info, then you have to write in to the team. Speaking of which, remember those books we had as kids in the 90s? The ones where you had addresses of 'players' but it was just the team's office to try and get autographs and such. Such a dumb idea but man did we eat that shit up. This is basically that multiplied by a million.
Gotta find a way to print that tweet up and hang it on the fridge now. Maybe frame it so you always have that story when people come over.
