*UPDATE* Spencer Rattler Deletes "The University of Oklahoma" In Instagram Bio
**CHECK UPDATE AT END OF ARTICLE**
Spencer Rattler's fall from grace has been well documented. At the beginning of the season, Spencer signed huge NIL deals and was a Heisman front runner. It all looked like he was going to be the next Kyler Murray or Baker Mayfield. The path to the NFL was right there for him to progress as a Patrick Mahomes and win super bowls. But I hate to say it but I think the 800k in NIL deals got to his head.
What we do know is that Caleb Williams threw for 4 touchdowns went 18/23 with 295 yards. I think Spencer was told that if Caleb struggled against TCU he would be put back in and start, but now that Caleb had a great outing it would be tough to stay. It is tough because Lincoln Reilly had a huge hand in Rattler's development since high school, which would account for why Rattler wasn't benched against Nebraska or West Virginia. Fortunately, a change of environment will hopefully be a good reality check for the Elite 11 winner, because something has to make him humble or he will not be able to grow. Here's a clip of him from high school where his own teammates show concern for his demeanor.
Where might Rattler land? Well, Rattler is from Phoenix, Arizona so ASU might be the spot he ends up. Jayden Daniels the current ASU QB might end up entering the NFL draft so it would let Rattler compete for the starting job. This is mostly a prediction on where he's going in proximity to his hometown. Others have floated out UCLA or Texas Tech as landing spots.
UPDATE
It would be a bad look for coaches currently recruiting him to transfer if he had already dubbed his former University.
Or he could be messing with me. All I know is it was there at one point. This was what it was before the original change.
The whole thing could just be a number of characters debacle. Or classic snip snap.
