[Attractions Magazine] - Fogg will make the return beginning this Sunday, Nov. 7 for a four-episode arc, where he will serve as the contestant mentor as they take on the Temple Run. These appearances will have him reuniting with long-time associate, Dee Bradley Baker, who reprises his role as the voice of Olmec.

I'll be honest I knew this was a reboot but I had no idea it started. I'm immediately going to watch the first few episodes now. It's on CW which is probably how I missed it. Not exactly on the radar of my channel list here. But that said, it didn't matter. It didn't matter because they started the reboot without Kirk Fogg. How do you not have this guy?

    Giphy Images.

Sure Olmec was the star of the show, but Kirk is the only one that can host this. I don't even care if it's the reboot. If you have Legends of the Hidden Temple on TV, you have this intro. It can only be these two. It was always Kirk Fogg, who is an ELITE host. He's also one of those names that all of us in our mid-30s just know. Kirk Fogg is also the perfect name to be the host of Legends of the Hidden Temple.

I'll be honest. I got into a Legends of the Hidden Temple rabbit hole last year. It's on Paramount+ along with Double Dare and let me tell you. We had the best of times on TV. Nothing like Legends of the Hidden Temple. Throw in GUTS and Nick was cooking with gas. Quick sidenote, the rankings of teams are as follows:

    6. Orange Iguanas

    5. Purple Parrots

    Massive gap

    4. Silver Snakes

    3. Red Jaguars

    2. Green Monkeys

    1. Blue Barracudas

    Cut and dry rankings there.

Now back to the show. There was nothing more terrifying on TV than seeing one of those temple guards jump out and scare contestants. Laugh out loud funny now, but as a kid that was a top fear of mine. Sure I dreamt of being on the show, carrying my sorry ass partner to the finish line. But I'd go first in the temple run. I'd make sure to win this for us. More importantly, I'd get that Shrine of the Silver Monkey, arguably the most impossible task in TV history.

But now that I know Kirk is back on the reboot I'm going to DVR this shit. It's officially on my mind and will be that way. I know reboots tend to stink but Legends of the Hidden Temple is so iconic and now we're doing it with adults. I can still live out my dream. Let me, Kirk Fogg and Olmec kick it one time.
