Take your handful of titles Alabama football. New England Patriots? They laugh at you. Texas Tech is a meat judging dynasty. No other way to put it. Nobody does a better job of judging meats and getting judged than Texas Tech. No reason for them to get excited about a new football coach when all the talent is going to meat judging anyways. Eight titles since 2010 is absurd. That's how you take over a sport. Gotta wonder if NIL is coming into play here. It should. At the minimum they should get a nice steak dinner for free after a championship. Maybe even let them bring home meat they judge. I have no idea how it works. I just know Texas Tech is going to dominate it.

Sidenote, when I was googling Texas Tech meat judging champs (can't wait to see the ads from this) one of the first things to pop up was a camp:

Do kids want to attend like this we did basketball camp growing up? I remember being all giddy as a younger kid to go to Wake Forest basketball camp. Are there kids in Lubbock, Texas and around the world asking mom and dad for Christmas to send them to meat judging camp? Not gonna lie, I have a bit of interest now. How do you even judge meat? I'm clearly an amateur it's done by taste for me. Well according to MeatScience, here's an explanation.

Meat judging programs are currently the most effective tool for the recruitment and development of future meat science technologists in existence today. Meat judging is much more than just the determination of the quality and lean meat yield of a carcass or wholesale cut; the program serves as a training tool to develop young leaders in the meat and livestock industries.  Judging is a competitive event for youth through collegiate age students and it has a deep-rooted history with the meat industry. Students equipped with a general knowledge in meat evaluation are able to be competitive in the judging arena, but more importantly will be the individuals that lead our industry into the future

Just wait until the New York schools find out and start to talk about their BBQ. Texas Tech is firmly in trouble then. All that said, I'd like to think the meat judging team is basically how Carl judges french onion soup on Twitter. Just send them a picture, judge it. Highest grade wins. Let's keep it simple here.
