Mike Tyson Said He Died From Licking Psychedelic Toads

Mike Tyson dropped dead from drugs — sorta.

“I ‘died’ during my first trip,” the 55-year-old former world champion boxer told The Post at Wonderland, a Miami conference dedicated to psychedelics, microdosing and medicine. “In my trips I’ve seen that death is beautiful. Life and death both have to be beautiful, but death has a bad rep. The toad has taught me that I’m not going to be here forever. There’s an expiration date.”

The “toad” is Bufo alvarius, a Mexico amphibian otherwise known as the Sonoran Desert Toad. It spends seven months of the year living underground, but when it’s active, its venom can be smoked to produce a short psychoactive trip. The venom has long been used in traditional healing rituals but, with the popularity of LSD and ayahuasca among the rich and famous, “the toad” is getting a lot of more attention.

I don't think anyone in the history of planet Earth has ever transformed themselves as dramatically as Iron Mike Tyson. The scariest dude of a generation. A guy who said he wanted to eat someone's children and said it in a way that made you think he was stating it literally. A convicted criminal. He was a BADDDDDD man. 

Now..."death is beautiful". He has zenned the fuck out. I feel like Mike Tyson should just become the new Bob Ross. Get him on PBS or NPR and let him just paint the visions he sees when he licks toads or eats mushrooms or does whatever other psychedelics he wants. Soothing music, some drugs, a canvas, and that soft lispy speech pattern. I am in. I'd rather watch that then see him do tummy sticks fight with sockem boppers against Roy Jones Jr again. I want to know what it looks like to die and I want to see it through Mike Tyson's evolved eyes. A gentle psychopath who would still make me piss down my leg if I had to be in a ring with him. So scary that I can't even imagine doing these drugs with him. Imagine the freakout that would come from one on one time with Iron Mike and a heroic does of edibles. No thank you. I just want to watch from a distance. 

Also...if drugs can bring a person with Tyson's background a level of peace then maybe we should all be giving them a shot. Maybe. 

PS: I need a Mike Tyson and Homer Simpson updated episode. I don't know if they've made that episode because I haven't watched a new episode of the simpsons in like 15 years, but I am here for that and I know the Simpsons creators are too.
